Planning & Environmental Litigation Solicitor (0709)

3-5 PQE

Competitive Salary, roughly in the range of 50k-60k per annum

London

Full-time, permanent, in-office

Our client's litigation department has built a reputation as a leading claimant-side environmental and planning department seated within a mid-sized law firm. Litigation expertise is essential  (3 -5 PQE).

You will be fully immersed in environmental and planning decisions issued by public authorities as well as nuisance and waste/pollution cases. Part of our client's workload includes assisting clients to navigate the planning process, including preparing planning objections, representation at planning inquiries and local plan examinations, and bringing judicial review claims. The department also advises clients suffering from noise, odour and other types of environmental nuisance and hazards, including negotiation with neighbours, enforcement, and, where necessary, claims in civil or statutory nuisance.

Familiarity with environmental and planning laws is a must as will be attendance in court. Research skills and good academic grades are required. An excellent opportunity to work with a close-knit team that is supportive and equipped with good resources and knowledge materials. Plenty of opportunities to build expertise and develop your career as a planning and environmental solicitor.

This is a strictly in-office role and a full-time position. Due to the busy nature of the department, priority will be given to a suitable candidate who can start in a short time.
